Q-A List

Non Professionals : participants who are study at the private dance schools.(up to 4 classes per week)
Classical Dance : is a type of performance dance that originated during the Italian Renaissance in the fifteenth century and later developed into a concert dance form in France and Russia. It has since become a widespread and highly technical form of dance with its own vocabulary. Classical ballet is based on traditional ballet technique and vocabulary.Different styles have emerged in different countries, such as French ballet, Italian ballet, English ballet, and Russian ballet.
Character dance : is a specific subdivision of classical dance. It is the stylized representation of a traditional folk or national dance, mostly from European countries, and uses movements and music which have been adapted for the theater.
Contemporary Dance and Modern Dance : The primary difference is that Modern dance is codified, and Contemporary dance is not.
Modern dance has different techniques, just as ballet does.
The techniques in Modern dance are named for some of the founders of Modern dance, including Graham, Taylor, Cunningham, Limon, Dunham, Duncan, and Horton.
Each of these techniques has rules that specifically outline where the body should be placed, the quality of the movements, and the choreography.
Contemporary dance, on the other hand, is not codified.
As a result, it is vaguer and relies on individual expressions of emotions.
It includes different elements from several other genres, including ballet, jazz, modern, and lyrical.
Contemporary dance is defined as something happening simultaneously, and it refers to dance styles that are happening now or in the recent past.
Neo-Classical Dance : Neoclassical ballet style opposite to classical ballet has abstract elements, as no strict scenery, plot and costumes and minimal set design. It eliminates the formalities and opens up to modern techniques and ideas. Modern ballet style emerged from neoclassical ballet style. Opposed to delicate moves greater athleticism was favored.
